We have stated numerous times that Supply Hope believes that one of the greatest needs of the poor is a way to earn a living. And we still believe this. There is definitely a time and place for relief efforts but eventually there need to be efforts towards long term sustainable change. Few people want to remain on the receiving end of charity. They want to provide for their own families needs. They want their children to have hope for a better future. They want and need to have dignity and self-respect. At Supply Hope, we are working hard to provide a path out of poverty through micro-franchising. We want to empower the micro-franchise store operator to earn a steady income and provide for their families.

We also want to empower the national staff in Nicaragua. It has been extremely exciting to see the Nicaraguan staff reaching out and caring about those living in poverty within their own country. As Supply Hope has shared and trained the staff on the principles of micro-franchising – they are now able to train and equip the store operators.

We are able to see this same cycle working for our store operators within their own families. They are being empowered to have a successful small business that provides the daily needs of their families. They are able (and some for the first time) to show their children that there are opportunities that can offer sustainable provision, a healthier lifestyle and a better life. Their children are able to watch their parents succeed which gives them the hope, desire and drive to one day do the same for their families.

We want to thank you for your support of Supply Hope – for providing this life changing cycle and empowering those in Nicaragua to accomplish more!
